Chatdate Revolutionizes Internet Dating With VoIP

Chatdate, a nine weeks old dating site, has been the first to run its voice and video services on VoIP in New Zealand. Allowing users experience one-on-one virtual dates right in the comfort of their homes. It makes use of an associated service ‘txtnudge’ which provides text messaging, prompting people to hook up. It also provides online shopping for those who are not interested in dating, giving opportunities to agencies eyeing gender-specific advertising markets.
The VoIP platform has allowed Chatdate to offer more than just the conventional tools of normal dating sites, creating a more intimate experience for users as admitted by Chatdate director Chris Cadbag, accounting for a daily sign up rate of 6 to 7 users, in addition to its 400 signed up users.
Commenting on the irony between dating websites and its technology, Cadbag said “the concept of dating websites is a 21st century one, but most other dating sites don’t embrace 21st century technology” he was also quoted to have said “Chatdate is reaching out to the over 60 age market- a group that has been scared to try out internet dating”
Chatdate VoIP deployment comes just a week after internet giant eHarmony broke the news of its merger with Jajah, a VoIP provider, to enable it provide a click-to-call service for its customers.
Believe me, wether you say VoIP or VoDP (Voice over dating protocol) on the Chatdate website you will be communicating.
