T-Mobile @ HOME UMA on Blackberry Rocks

I’ve had a chance to play around with the T-Mobile @ Home service @ home with their special router and I liked it, but the last thing I needed was yet another phone and phone number, so their test unit sees limited use. Well with my new Blackberry 8320 I’m in VoIP heaven.
Staying at the Grand Hyatt the ‘berry immediately logged on to the T-Mobile hotspot showing the UMA icon in the top right of the screen. At Starbucks, same deal. At San Jose Airport, even though it’s a TMO Hotspot it didn’t register. That’s likely because they may be sharing network access here with Wayport.
At the hotel and at Starbucks there wasn’t any difference in call quality from mobile, and if anything it was a tad better.
Clearly this is worth a good look for those who have cut the cord, and now want to cut their bill.
