Microsoft Extends Low Pricing VoIP Services to Small Biz.

For small business owners using the VoIP services, this could be a breaking news. Microsoft, the internet and communication technology giant has finally joined the race for making VoIP services available to small business at affordable prices. This move by Microsoft may hot up competition as regards this VoIP services from vendors who were in the market already, such vendors include 3com, Cisco systems and Digium.
To this effect, Microsoft has released its response point phone system which includes features like VoIP call processing, voicemail, call forwarding and integration with Microsoft outlook. While emphasizing on the importance of these features, the senior product manager at Microsoft, Jeff Smith, said that they are targeted at small-business customers with up to 50 users which may however scale higher with time.
The Microsoft’s small business VoIP move is ahead of their much publicized launch of Microsoft’s office communication server (OCS) 2007 and other communication products which would be launched in the next couple of weeks in San Francisco.
Response point software will soon be available to solution providers through the main Microsoft distributors, OEM partners, D-link and Quanta and it is hoped that the pricing will not be more than $3,000
