IEC Recaps Broadband World Forum Americas 2007

Source: www.voip-news.com

The Broadband World Forum Americas 2007 has now come and gone, and it signals a time for reflection.  The event featured more 150 speakers and vendors from around the world as they convened in São Paulo, Brazil for over three dozen educational sessions held.   Sponsors of the conference included such notable companies as Alcatel-Lucent, NEC, Texas Instruments and Motorola.

“The IEC is grateful to those who came from abroad to share their first-hand experiences with this region,” said IEC President John Janowiak, in a recent press release. “Knowing the results of technologies that have succeeded and failed in other parts of the world proves invaluable when industry professionals begin to navigate through new, emerging markets.”

Speaker Luiz C. M. Rego, Brazil regional director of the WiMAX Forum went on to say, “With the great content and great speakers, Brazil has not seen for some time such a content-rich conference focusing on so many broadband communications and next-generation issues.”
