There is change in the air at Vonage.
Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Sharon O’Leary is leaving the company. Her tenure will end at the close of the first quarter. She has been with the company since 2005 and helped take the company public in 2006.
Meanwhile, Mike Sears has been named Senior Vice President of Global Service Delivery Operations, which is the unit that deals with customer contact. Sears is the former Vice President of Customer Service for DHL Express and was Vice President of Customer Service Strategic Planning for Wachovia National Bank. He received his bachelors degree and masters degree in business administration from Wake Forest University.
“Mike has an impressive skill set that will enhance Vonage’s ability to keep improving our customer service. We believe that Sears’ 18-plus years of leadership experience in customer service and operations will build upon the foundation Vonage currently has in place,” Vonage Chairman, Chief Strategist, and Interim CEO Jeffrey Citron said.
