Open AIM Update, Open AIM 2.0

AOL has launched Open AIM 2.0, an update to the API and SDK the company provided to third-party instant messaging developers who write clients and services for use with AOL’s AIM network. But initial reactions are that the provided libraries come with restrictions which make them unsuitable for use in most open source clients. Read the press release, and see for yourself.
