Two British companies, Freshtel and Tesco announced a partnership this week to provide a low-cost VoIP over mobile phone service. It only works on specific Nokia phones though . . . and it’s still in the rudimentary development stages.
Aside from the fact that this is new, it’s prompted a hilarious response from the Inquirer, whose writer was less than enthusiastic.

The upshot was the INQ tried it with a Nokia N95 and surprise, surprise it came up with an installation error message. That’s probably why Tesco and Freshtel still describe it as a trial.
