US Administration Split Over Iraq

A lot of news in this morning’s paper about a split inside the US administration coming to the fore.  The New York Times (in Powell Charts Low-Key Path in Iraq Debate ) has denials about a split from the administration, but the Globe and Mail (Powell exposes split over Iraq invasion.) covers the story differently.  This morning’s Ottawa Citizen goes as far as saying that Powell is increasingly being marginalized in the current administration, and that he has already made a decision not to stay on as Secretary of State in a second Bush administration.  This would be a tragedy.  Powell is a great leader, and a rational voice in the US government.
